The Wisconsin Department of Health Services continues to track individuals who may have been exposed to the measles virus after the first case of measles was confirmed in Wisconsin in Dane County. DHS identified four locations in southern Wisconsin that may have been exposed to the virus. Fond du Lac County Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the next step is working to identify and directly notify people who may have been exposed to the virus. There have been 17 times as many US measles cases in the first four months of this year compared with the average number seen during the same period the previous three years.
