5-9-24 fdl resident wins samaritan cash raffle grand prize

Brianna St. Louis is the winner of the $50,000 grand prize in this year’s Fond du Lac Agnesian HealthCare Foundation’s annual Samaritan Cash Raffle.  St. Louis was working in the SSM Health Cardiovascular lab when her name was drawn Wednesday as the big winner.   “I forgot about the drawing.  I was just finishing up a procedure when a bunch of my co-workers ran in to tell me I had to go, and they weren’t joking,”  St. Louis told WFDL news.   St. Louis has worked at St. Agnes Hospital for 11 years and says has participated in the cash raffle every year.  She says she participates because the proceeds go to a great cause…the SSM Health Samaritan Clinic-providing health care to 500 underinsured patients annually.   St. Louis says she has never had that much money at one time and is not sure what she is going to do with her winnings, other than to pay off her car.   Other prize winners include:     Second prize, $10,000: Anne Kirk, Berlin   Third prize, $5,000: Kathy Gravelle, Fond du Lac  Fourth & Fifth prizes, $2,500: Lynn Wellens, Fond du Lac; Dawn Freund, Fond du Lac  Sixth to 10th prizes, $1,000: Deborah Ashenfelter, Fond du Lac; Diane Retzlaff, Randolph; Jamie Neuman, Fond du Lac; Barb Justman, Mayville; Whitney Nimmer, Fond du Lac  11th to 20th prizes, $500: Amanda Saegert, Brownsville; Jim Paulson, Fond du Lac; Sherri VandeStreek, Waupun; Charleen Roen, Fond du Lac; Kim Veley, North Fond du Lac; Theresa Eimerman, Fond du Lac; Paul Schmitz, New Holstein; Shelli Milbrath, St. Cloud; Elizabeth Wulff, Fond du Lac; Kathy Standke, Pardeeville.  Nearly 3,800 tickets were sold in this year’s raffle with the cash raffle raising approximately $120,000.  The Samaritan Cash Raffle was assisted by many sponsors, including the Baker Family Foundation, Bristol Morgan Bank, Fond du Lac County Medical Society, Michels Corporation, National Exchange Bank Foundation, Quest Interiors, Shea Electric & Communications, LLC, Dr. Nathan & Jenni Slinde, and Society Insurance.
