Moving is always stressful. Throw in the threat of a moving scam and things get even worse. Wisconsin Better Business Bureau spokeswoman Lisa Schiller says before hiring a moving company do careful research to avoid falling victim to a moving scam. Schiller says in 2023, 1.5 million inquiries on BBB.org were made about moving companies, and nearly 6,000 complaints were filed against moving companies.
