A number of snacks have been recalled from Target, Walmart and Dollar General stores in 17 states including Wisconsin. A variety of frosted and coated pretzels, popcorn snack mixes and cookies were recalled over a salmonella risk. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says so far no illnesses have been reported. According to the Food and Drug Administration Palmer Candy Company recalled its White Coated Confectionary Items because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. Consumers who purchased the items in question can return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.
