SSM Health Treffert Studios in Fond du Lac is collaborating with local partners this month to offer a unique, sensory-friendly event for children and families. Treffert Studios supervisor, Sara Kaiser, says the free event is called “Touch a Truck.” Kaiser says the event will allow kids to experience the thrill of big machines, up close without flashing lights and sirens. ” Vehicles that will be on hand include a Carew Concrete and Supply concrete truck, Flight for Life helicopter, Fond du Lac Area Transit bus, fire truck and ambulance, police squad car, Cessna airplane, a semi tractor trailer, Waste Management recycling truck, and Whealon Towing truck. The event will be held from 4:30pm to 5:30 pm Tuesday May 21 at the Fond du Lac County Skyport on South Rolling Meadows Drive.
