5-14-24 second defendant convicted in fdl firebombing incident

A second defendant has been convicted in a Fond du Lac fire bombing incident.  Elliot  Schneider was convicted of property damage by use of explosives, recklessly  endangering safety and bail jumping. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 24.   District Attorney Toney stated “We greatly appreciate the years of dedicated investigation by our law enforcement partners to help secure these convictions today. The defendant’s dangerous and violent actions threatened the safety and security of numerous occupants of the home. We are grateful injuries were not more serious and look forward to the May 24 sentencing date for the defendant to be held accountable and for justice on behalf of the victims and our community.”   A  co defendant Jonas Johnson was earlier convicted and is awaiting sentencing.   Nobody was injured in the mailbox explosion and small fire near the front door of a  home on Doty Street in July of 2016.
