Two individuals arrested for child human trafficking in Fond du Lac County have made their initial court appearances. Juan Carlos Rocha Mejia is charged with First Degree Child Sexual Assault, False Imprisonment, Child Enticement and Strangulation Suffocation. The child’s mother, Elia Antonio, is charged with Child Trafficking and Failure to Protect a Child. Bail was set at $1 million cash for both and they will be back in court June 7 for a preliminary hearing. Rocha is accused of paying Antonio money to spend time alone with her daughter. The undocumented Nicaraguan man was arrested earlier this month after a 12 year old girl showed up at the doorstep of a town of Oakfield resident telling the homeowner she had escaped from a vehicle where a man had bound and blindfolded her and attempted to assault her. The victim and her siblings have been placed in protective custody.
