Sue Koenigs, an SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic patient access representative, has been named the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award. She serves patients in Mt. Calvary Family Medicine.  Koenigs was nominated by a colleague who wrote: “Sue exemplifies outstanding dedication and commitment to her role as receptionist. Recently, a situation arose where a patient needed urgent medical attention, but no appointments were available at a convenient time. In a remarkable display of initiative and compassion, Sue remembered that another patient preferred earlier appointments and promptly rearranged the schedule to accommodate both individuals.  Her quick thinking and proactive approach not only ensured that the patients received timely care, but also highlighted her ability to improve access to health care services. By going above and beyond her duties, she has demonstrated a genuine commitment to serving the community and enhancing the patient experience at the Mt. Calvary Family Medicine office. Her exceptional work ethic and willingness to prioritize patient care make her a valuable asset to the team.”   The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
