The Dodge County Treasurer is encouraging residents to check to see if they may have any unclaimed funds and if you have any, how to file a claim. Treasurer, Kris Keith, says unclaimed property exists for many reasons, but “usually Dodge County’s unclaimed funds are from uncashed checks. ” Keith says a common example could be a real estate tax overpayment refund or a paycheck from jury duty that was never cashed. To find out if you have unclaimed funds you can check Dodge County’s Unclaimed Funds lists on the Treasurer’s Department webpage.
