Fond du Lac’s Walleye Weekend kicks Friday at Lakeside Park. Fond du Lac Festival’s Pete Wilke says this year mark’s Walleye Weekend’s 45th year as the largest free family-friendly festival in the region. Wilke says there are several new attractions this year along with longtime favorites like the Walleye Run-Walk. Wilke says the live music line-up brings a number of well-known acts to one of three big stages, and some new entertainment. The event centers around the Mercury Marine National Walleye Fishing tournament.
