Nobody was injured after Fond du Lac police responded over the weekend to a report of an armed man who wanted to die by suicide. Shortly after 3pm Saturday police responded to the 100 block of Southlake Lane with an armored rescue vehicle and set up a perimeter. A woman was able to safely exit the home. The 72 year old man exited the home unarmed and was taken into protective custody. He was placed on emergency detention and will not face criminal charges.
