Fond du Lac residents have an opportunity to see some spectacular kites this weekend at Lakeside Park. The Wisconsin Kiters Club will be flying their kites Sunday afternoon at Frazier Point. Club member Mike Sherman will be bringing several kites to the show. “We do what we call line laundry. So we go a kite lifting everything up above, and then on the line we’ve got some characters like Snoopy, Charlie Brown, or Octopus, several different types of fish,” Sherman told WFDL news. “We do what we can to put as many kites up with the space given.” Sherman says depending on the wind, bringing a huge kite to the ground can be a challenge. Kiters from throughout the state will be in Fond du Lac for the event. The club will also be helping kids make kites.
