Fond du Lac residents are invited to a picnic this weekend to show their support for the LGBTQt community. The 6th annual Pride Picnic starts at 1pm Sunday. Vincente Morales founded the picnic as a way to celebrate an inclusive family-friendly space, something Morales says he unfortunately did not find growing up in Fond du Lac. “I want people that are queer and our youth to not feel like I did, and to not feel like they have to leave the community because they can’t feel welcome, ” Morales told WFDL news. “For me this is why I do this.” A pride bicycle ride sponsored by Fond du Lac Cyclery starts at 11am Sunday.
