8-1-24 fdl county sheriff’s office, dnr investigating large-scale deer poaching scheme

8-1-24 oshkosh man sentenced to prison in fatal owi crash in fdl county

An Oshkosh man convicted  in connection  with a fatal alcohol-related crash in Fond du Lac County is going to prison.  Fond du Lac County Circuit Judge Tricia Walker sentenced 57 year old Brian Sippel to 28 years in prison followed by 15 years extended supervision.  Sippel earlier pleaded no contest to homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. HUDSON, Wis. Workers laid off from Mercury Marine and Charter Communications in Fond du Lac had an opportunity to find new employment at a Job Fair Wednesday.   The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board hosted a Job Fair at Moraine Park Technical   College in Fond du Lac.  Last month Merc announced 300 layoffs and last week announced 1700 partial layoffs.  Spectrum Charter is laying off 150 employees at it's Fond du Lac Call Center.
