A truck vs SUV collision in Fond du Lac has claimed the life of a Fond du Lac woman. The crash happened Monday afternoon on Lakeshore Drive near Subway Road. A preliminary investigation shows an SUV was northbound on Lakeshore Drive when it crossed the centerline striking a southbound box truck head on. The driver of the SUV, a 61 year old Fond du Lac woman , was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The truck driver, a 51 year old Appleton man, received minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt. Lakeshore Drive between Subway and Kinker Roads was closed for approximately four hours. The crash remains under investigation.
