Food, music, dancing, and games traditional of Latin America were featured at Holy Family Catholic Community’s Latin Flavor Carnival Sunday. Established in 2022, the Latin Flavor Carnival is a celebration of the diverse Hispanic community that makes up not only Holy Family Parish, but also the area, state, and nation. Over the past five years, the Hispanic community has grown in the parish, and has come to include people with familial roots from throughout Latin American, such from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Venezuela. “Our Catholic parish, like Fond du Lac, is home to people from many cultures, and the Latin Flavor Carnival provides us a perfect opportunity to showcase the heritage of our parishioners and allow people to develop a greater appreciation for them through experiencing their food, dance, and music,” Holy Family Catholic Community Pastor, Very Rev. Ryan J Pruess said.
