More information is coming to light about a suspect involved in Fond du Lac convenience store robbery. Nobody was injured after a 19 year old North Fond du Lac man robbed the North Main Street Kwik Trip early Monday morning, just a few hundred feet from the police station. Police Chief Aaron Goldstein says the suspect told employees to lock the front door and handed them a note demanding money. Goldstein says when an officer spotted the suspect walking along West Bank Street with a bag in his hand, the suspect took off running. “He started to run to the west and change started to fly out and dollar bills started to fly out. We were able to catch him just a couple blocks away,” Goldstein told WFDL news. Goldstein says the suspect had been released from prison the day before the robbery. “It didn’t take long from the release from prison for him to come back to this area and commit this crime.” Mason Enfeldt made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance this week on multiple charges including robbery, battery, resisting, criminal damage to property and bail jumping. Bail was set at $10,000 cash. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 26th.
