A Texas man was killed in a two vehicle head on collision in Fond du Lac County. The crash happened shortly after 7:30 am Thursday on County Highway D near Hawes Court in the town of Fond du Lac. A preliminary investigation shows a southbound vehicle on D failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected, and struck a northbound vehicle head on. The 19 year old driver of the southbound vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers received minor injuries. The driver of the northbound car, a 48 year old Oakfield woman, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
