7-30-24 republican party of fdl county candidate endorsements

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to inform you of the results from the recent nomination process for the contested races within Fond du Lac County.   On July 25th, the members of the Fond du Lac County Republican Party convened to hear reports from the executive team, discuss the newly drawn legislative maps, and hear from candidates. During the meeting, we reviewed the by-laws concerning the endorsement process “C. County Organizations reserve the exclusive right to endorse candidates for State Senate, State Assembly, and other elections with jurisdictions that are located within their county.” and casted votes for party endorsements in the contested races.  In the race for the 27th Assembly District, where the candidates were Lindee Brill and Brian Hilbelink, with a no-endorsement option, Lindee Brill received 78% of the member vote.  In the race for the 37th Assembly District, where the candidates were Steve Rydzewski and Mark Born, with a no-endorsement option, Steve Rydzewski received 86% of the member vote.  In the race for the 20th Senate District, where the candidates were Timothy Ramthun and Dan Feyen, with a no-endorsement option, Timothy Ramthun received 86% of the member vote.  The Fond du Lac County Republican Party officially endorses Lindee Brill, Steve Rydzewski, and Timothy Ramthun.  The endorsement practice has been a long-standing tradition of counties, districts, and the state party. We respect the will of our members in assisting voters to select candidates. We  remain committed to giving our full support to whichever candidate advances through the primary process.

Sincerely,
Timothy Bachleitner
Chairman, Republican Party of Fond du Lac County
