The Fond du Lac Police chief says while property crimes are down, violent crime is up in the city of Fond du Lac. Chief Aaron Goldstein says an increase in aggravated assaults has been driven by domestic violence. Goldstein talked about the crime rate as he presented a proposed 2025 budget at last week’s Fond du lac city council meeting. Big ticket items in the police budget include continued building renovations and equipment purchases.
