FOND DU LAC, WI – The City of Fond du Lac is hosting a public information meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 7 regarding the City’s Housing Study and Action Plan. The meeting serves as an opportunity for residents to share their input on the City’s current and future housing needs. “The Housing Study and Action Plan is designed to help ensure that housing opportunities are provided for households of all types, ages, and income levels in our City,” said Community Development Director Dyann Benson. “Public input is vital to determining how future residential investment and development can best serve the needs of our entire community.” Identified as a priority through its 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the City has consulted Camoin Associates to design a study analyzing the housing stock and housing market within the City of Fond du Lac, and develop strategies to address the current and future needs of the community. The meeting will be on Aug. 7 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Fire Station #1 (815 S Main St.), in the Training Room. The meeting will begin with a presentation by a consultant of Camoin Associates highlighting key data points from a previous citywide housing survey followed by a public Q&A session. “I highly encourage Fond du Lac residents to attend the public information meeting to learn more about the state of our City’s housing and share their vital perspective on this topic,” said Benson. “Community feedback allows the City to make informed decisions that best reflect the needs of our residents.” More information about the Housing Study and Action Plan is available at https://www.fdl.wi.gov/
