Two people escaped injury after their car backed into Lake Winnebago. The incident happened shortly after 7:30pm Monday near the walking bridge over the river leading to the lake off Frazier Drive in Lakeside Park. When police officers arrived they found the driver and passenger who appeared they had been in the water. They denied any treatment at the scene or transport to the hospital. A local vehicle recovery company was called to remove the car from the river.
