Jacklyn Osborne, APNP, an SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic Orthopedic nurse practitioner, is being recognized as an SSM Health OAK (One of a Kind) Award winner.
The OAK Award is specifically designed to recognize physicians and APPs from the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, Ripon Community Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, and Waupun Memorial Hospital who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
Osborne was nominated by a colleague who wrote.
“Jacklyn is a veteran orthopedic advocate nurse practitioner at Plaza A in Fond du Lac. She brings her emergency medical experience to our clinic during the week and will also pick up shifts at the hospital as needed. Our nurse practitioners take call and assist our orthopedic surgeons in the operating room. In medical imaging where I work, we often ask Jackie for her professional opinion on X-ray views that need to be ordered. She often assists us with difficult patient transfers and will come in our rooms when we have her patients on our tables to remove sutures instead of doing a second transfer for the convenience of the patient.
“Jacklyn recently started training a new nurse practitioner who is starting in our department. Her greatest gift is her ability to remain kind, calm, and focused on all of her patient and employee encounters. Jackie never makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing her with a question or concern. People walk away from her feeling educated and heard. “Jacklyn Osborne wears many hats for SSM Health and is very deserving of the OAK Award.”
