A former facilities repair worker at the Waupun Correctional Institution has been convicted of smuggling contraband into the prison in exchange for bribe money. Forty seven year old William Homan of Fox Lake has pleaded guilty to receiving more than 120 bribe payments totaling nearly $54,000 while working with inmates, former inmates and their associates. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for December 12th. He faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
