Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies rescued a deer hunter who got stuck in a swamp in Fond du Lac County over the weekend. Shortly after 8pm Saturday the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a person who said he was lost in the Mullet Creek State Wildlife area near Deerview Road and was stuck waste deep in the swamp. The caller said his cellphone battery was very low. Using GPS coordinates deputies were able to locate the individual and safely remove him from the swamp. The 44 year old Sheboygan man was evaluated at the scene and released without any injuries. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mount Calvary Fire
Department and Ambulance.
