MADISON – Applications are now being accepted for the 36th annual Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) Awards program. This awards program, sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Baker Tilly, and Michael Best & Fredrich LLP, showcases Wisconsin’s leading industry, which generates over $71 billion in economic output each year. “This program pays tribute to the men and women who go above and beyond to excel within Wisconsin’s vibrant manufacturing sector,” said Kurt Bauer, President & CEO of WMC. “Our state’s manufacturers are supporting their communities, creating jobs, investing in their employees, innovating incredible products, and fostering economic growth. We’re glad to highlight and honor them through these awards.” The MOTY Awards program acknowledges the pivotal role manufacturers play in Wisconsin’s economy: their innovations, philanthropy, technological advances, commitment to customer satisfaction and quality jobs. “Baker Tilly is delighted to open the 36th annual Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year awards with WMC and Michael Best,” said Greg Sofra, leader of Baker Tilly’s manufacturing practice in the state of Wisconsin. “As a founding host, we’re looking forward to continuing to honor the achievements of Wisconsin manufacturers and to highlight the importance of the manufacturing industry in our region.” Manufacturers of all sizes and from every corner of Wisconsin are encouraged to apply. Companies can be nominated by a third party, and self-nominations are also encouraged. The deadline to submit applications is Dec. 6, 2024. “As a founding host of the Manufacturer of the Year Awards, Michael Best is excited to kick off the 36th annual program with WMC and Baker Tilly,” said David Krutz, Firm Managing Partner of Michael Best. “We are looking forward to celebrating once again the extraordinary manufacturing industry in Wisconsin and to shining a spotlight on how manufacturers are creating countless opportunities for the people and communities of our great state.” Winners will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony on Feb. 20, 2025, in Milwaukee.
