Lakeside Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement – Oven to Fountain Island

Schedule: September 16 through November 15, 2024

Description: Construction includes removal of the existing wood bridge structure, pouring new concrete abutments and setting a new steel truss bridge.  Site grading, restoration and asphalt pedestrian path will be replaced.

September 23 to September 27: Crews will complete the removal of the existing bridge abutments and begin driving piles for the new bridge abutments.

Traffic Impacts: The boat launch off E. Harbor View Dr. will be closed for boats to access Lake Winnebago from Sep. 16 th through Nov. 2024

Pioneer Road – Martin Avenue to CTH V

Schedule: April 24 through September 28, 2024

Description: Construction includes common excavation, sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, concrete sidewalk and curb & gutter, an asphalt pedestrian path and roadway, traffic signals & roadway lighting.

September 23 to September 27: Topsoil operations will continue. Permanent signing will be installed. Pavement marking and electrical work will also take place.

Traffic Impacts: Pioneer Road (CTH VV) is closed to through traffic for the duration of the project.

US 45 Improvements in Fond du Lac County

Location/limits: US 45 from Scott Street in the village of North Fond du Lac to the North County Line in the town of Friendship, Fond du Lac County

Schedule: August 26 th to Early November

Description of work: The work under this contract shall consist of asphalt paving, beam guard replacement, culvert replacement, pavement marking, and all incidental items.

September 23 to September 27: Crews will finish topsoil and restoration throughout the project and milling and paving will start at Scott Street working to the north.

Traffic impacts: US 45 is open to traffic. Work will be conducted under lane closures with flagging operations.

Rees Street – Main Street to Marquette Street

September 23 to September 27: Concrete contractor will continue pouring sidewalk and driveway aprons on the south side of Rees St and west side of Marquette Street mid-week. Curb from Merrill Ave to Rees St on the east side of Marquette will be poured later in the week.

Traffic Impacts: Rees Street and Marquette Street are closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

  1. 9 th Street – Bridge to Linden Street

Schedule: June 2024 through September

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

September 23 to September 27: Concrete contractor will pour north half of approach slab by bridge. Joint sealing pavement mid-week.

Traffic Impacts: W. 9 th Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

S Military Road – Superior Street to Hickory Street

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

September 23 to September 27: Water tie-ins at Hickory St on Monday. Then continue with storm main installation out of the intersection of Hickory St. Road excavation will begin on the east side of the RR.

Traffic Impacts: S Military Road is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours. There will be a signed detour route in place.

Bragg Street – Bell Street to Warner Street

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

September 23 to September 27: Curb will be poured later in the week.

Traffic Impacts: Bragg Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Henning Street – Military Rd to Dead End

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

September 23 to September 27: No work anticipated.

Traffic Impacts: Henning Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.

Franklin Street – N. Hickory Street to Henry Street

Schedule: August 2024 through November

Description: The project includes water main and lateral reconnections, roadway, and restoration/landscaping.

September 23 to September 27: No work anticipated.

Traffic Impacts: Franklin Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access  properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move  any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
