Gretchen Hofman, an SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic Cardiology certified medical assistant, has been named the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award. Hofman was recognized by a patient who wrote: “Gretchen always greets me (and all her patients) with a big welcoming smile. She makes me feel at ease instantly. It’s like catching up with an old friend. She goes out of her way to explain what is going to be done and ensures both privacy and dignity when completing EKGs. Gretchen is super compassionate and friendly. Going to the cardiologist is not a favorite past time, but Gretchen is the perfect way to start off an appointment!” The BEE Award is specifically designed to recognize non-nursing staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
