A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured and a Fond du Lac man is in custody following a shooting incident over the weekend. Shortly after 8pm Saturday police officers responded to the area of First and Adams Streets for reports of gunshots and found a 48 year old Fond du Lac man with multiple gunshot wounds to his left leg and arm a few blocks away on South Portland Street between Sheboygan and East Division Streets. Police learned a suspect was last seen running into the Parish School Apartment on East Second and set up a perimeter around the apartment complex. The SWAT Team was activated, and armored vehicles, K-9 teams, drone and robots were deployed. Residents in the area were advised to shelter in place as a precaution. Shortly after midnight Sunday, the suspect, a 39 year old Fond du Lac man, turned himself in without incident. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police.
