9-30-24 motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with suv in fdl county

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Fond du Lac County.  The crash happened shortly after 1:30pm Friday on Highway 151 and Martin Road.  A preliminary investigation shows the the motorcycle was southbound on Hwy 151 and was cut off by what witnesses described was an SUV with Oklahoma license plates.  The motorcycle hit the rear of the SUV and the operator was ejected from the cycle. He was transported from […]

9-30-24 menasha man faces arson charge in connection with fdl duplex fire

A Menasha man has been arrested in connection with a  fire that significantly damaged a Fond du Lac duplex.   Shortly after 11pm Monday firefighters were called to the 200 block of Packer Street to find the east side of the house engulfed in flames and smoke coming from the residence.  A 16 year old girl attempted to escape out of a second story window and fell to the ground.  She is listed in stable […]

9-30-24 former waupun prison staff member convicted of misdemeanor in inmate death

The first of nine staff members at the Waupun Correctional Institution charged in connection with the deaths of inmates at the prison has been convicted of a misdemeanor.  As part of a plea agreement,  36 year old Sarah Anne Ransbottom pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor of violating the law of a state or county institution.  She originally faced a felony charge of misconduct in public office.  Dodge County Circuit judge Martin De Vries ordered […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin district attorney said Thursday that her office is pursuing an investigation into the removal of an absentee ballot drop box by the mayor of Wausau.
