10-2-24 fdl shooting-the latest

The Fond du Lac police chief says a shooting incident in Fond du Lac over the weekend appears to be targeted and not random.  Police chief Aaron Goldstein tolds WFDL news the victim and suspect knew one another.  Goldstein says a preliminary investigation shows at least ten shots were fired and the victim was treated for three gunshot wounds from close range to his left arm and leg and has been released from the hospital.  The shooting incident happened Saturday night  in the area of First and Adams Streets.  Goldstein says the suspect, a 39 year old Fond du Lac man, later turned himself in at the Police Department.  Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office assisted police at the scene.
