10-7-24 waupun expanded sculpture ribbon cutting

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday celebrating an expanded sculpture collection in Waupun.  City administrator Kathy Schlieve says under the leadership of local business owner and Waupun Area School District art teacher, Jeni Maly, five new sculptures, with an historical connection to Waupun have been erected in the downtown this past summer.  Maly’s non-profit is focused on expanding sculpture exhibits in Waupun through an affiliation with the Eau Claire Sculpture Tour to bring rotating art exhibits to Waupun.   The Waupun Common Council committed $5,000 in room tax money to help with the cost.    A ribbon cutting was held Saturday to celebrate the new art installations and the grand opening of a food truck alley, funded in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
