The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal one vehicle crash that claimed the life of a passenger. The crash happened Sunday afternoon on County Highway I at County Road GI in the town of Lowell. A preliminary investigation shows a pickup truck failed to stop for a stop sign on Baker Road at County Road GI, struck a ditch and overturned multiple times. An 87 year old passenger, Ralph Finkler of rural Reeseville, was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison where he was later pronounced dead. The pickup driver, 56 year old Gregory Moritz from Reeseville, was arrested for OWI 6th offense. Neither occupant was wearing their seatbelt.
