10-16-24 salmonella outbreak-the latest

The FDA has upgraded it’s previous recall of eggs linked to salmonella to warn consumers of serious reactions and possibly death if eaten.  The recall was originally announced September 6th by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and was upgraded September 30 to a product that “will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”  At least 65 people in nine states have been infected including 42 people in Wisconsin.  Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says so far there have been no reported cases in Fond du Lac County related to the recall.  The salmonella was linked to eggs supplied by Milo’s Poultry Farms in Bonduel, north of Green Bay.
