Lakeside Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement – Oven to Fountain Island

Schedule: September 16 through November 15, 2024

Description: Construction includes removal of the existing wood bridge structure, pouring new concrete abutments and setting a new steel truss bridge.  Site grading, restoration and asphalt pedestrian path will be replaced.

October 21 to October 25: The riprap along the front face of the abutments and three-quarters of the fill has been places on the project.  Crews will finish pouring, stripping and placing topsoil along the sidewalk along the west side and place some additional fill and topsoil along the east side of the bridge.  By weeks end the majority of the bridge substructure work and backfill that can be installed prior to setting the bridge will be complete.  The bridge is expected by late December.

Traffic Impacts: The boat launch off E. Harbor View Dr. will be closed for boats to access Lake Winnebago from Sep. 16th through Nov. 2024

US 45 Improvement in Fond du Lac County

Schedule: August 26 th to Early November

Description of work: The work under this contract shall consist of asphalt paving, beam guard replacement, culvert replacement, pavement marking, and all incidental items.

October 21 to October 25: Asphalt paving should be completed and new beam guard installation will start.

Traffic impacts: US 45 is open to traffic. Work will be conducted under lane closures with flagging operations.

Marquette Street – E. Merrill Street to E. Johnson Street

Rees Street – Main Street to Marquette Street

Schedule: April 2024 through October

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

October 21 to October 25: Asphalt contractor will begin fine grading ahead of pavement. They may begin paving asphalt later in the week.

Traffic Impacts: Rees Street and Marquette Street are closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs.

S Military Road – Superior Street to Hickory Street

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

October 21 to October 25: Concrete contractor will continue fine grading ahead of mainline pavement. Mainline Paving will occur mid-week.

Traffic Impacts: S Military Road is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades.

Bragg Street – Bell Street to Warner Street

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals,  storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

October 21 to October 25: Fine grading for asphalt pavement.

Traffic Impacts: Bragg Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades.

Henning Street – Military Rd to Dead End

Schedule: July 2024 through November

Description: The project includes gas main and service relocations, reconstruction of sanitary sewer and laterals, storm sewer and laterals, water main and laterals, roadway, sidewalk and approaches, street lighting and restoration/landscaping.

October 21 to October 25: Fine grading for asphalt pavement.

Traffic Impacts: Henning Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades.

Franklin Street – N. Hickory Street to Henry Street

Schedule: August 2024 through November

Description: The project includes water main and lateral reconnections, roadway, and restoration/landscaping.

October 21 to October 25: Concrete contractor will pour concrete pavement and curb and gutter.

Traffic Impacts: Franklin Street is closed to through traffic. Residents, business owners, and customers may access  properties past “ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC” signs. It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street within the construction zone during working hours.
