THIS YEAR, collecting children’s coats & amassing a selection of all sizes in time for The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac’s annual coat distribution is more important than ever:
2024 Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts winter will hit hard our area hard the month of November w/coldest temps early in the month, then large snowfall late in the same month. The annual coats for Kids collection ends October 24. Each year, community has asked for more time. Now there is more time: Amy Ortega from Marine Credit Union has created a coat collection for The Salvation Army that extends the deadline 7 days longer. The Warm Up With Marine coat drive ends October 31 & also collects a longer list of much needed children’s winter items, including boots, scarves, hats, snowpants and mittens/gloves.
