(Ripon, Wis.) – Thanks to title sponsor, Century 21, a variety of historic and modern homes will be featured in Ripon’s bi-annual holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The homes will showcase unique design elements and exquisite holiday décor throughout the tour. “Ripon’s Tour of Homes is a cherished tradition, and we’re thrilled to welcome visitors to experience the charm and beauty of our community,” says Mandy Kimes, Executive Director of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce. “The six homes on the tour give a perfect opportunity to get an inside look at what makes Ripon so special.” Tour tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the tour. Advance tickets may be purchased online on eventbrite or at the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, located at 401 Watson St. Check-in will take place at the Chamber office and day-of, cash only, tickets may be purchased at that time. “I love the architecture of old homes and I think this house has so much to offer. It has a neat history of being a women’s dormitory for Ripon College. I look forward to sharing that with the community,” says one of the homeowners, Faye Becker. This year’s homes include: the Arnetveit’s W13827 Skyline Circle, the Becker’s 121 W. Thorne Street, the Clements’ 903 Nordane Avenue, the McCarthy’s 536 Watson Street, the Peer’s 500 Eureka Street, and the Reeves’ 954 Watson St. As a special bonus: the Pedrick-Lawson House, First Congregational Church and the Little White Schoolhouse will also be open for tours during the duration of the event and do not require a ticket. The Little White Schoolhouse will display many original Victorian Christmas decorations for visitors to see. First Congregational will be kicking off a year of celebrations in honor of their 175th Anniversary and the historic connection between the church and schoolhouse will be a special topic for the two locations. The Tour of Homes is part of Ripon’s 34th annual Dickens of a Christmas celebration, December 6-8th, which is coordinated by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce. “Dickens” features a variety of events and activities including the Dickens Parade of Lights on Friday night followed by a fire and light show, Living Windows on Saturday evening in the downtown area, an Enchanted Forest, Selfie Stations, musical performances and many more activities throughout Ripon.
