10-29-24 bomb threat at fdl stem academy unfounded

Police say a bomb threat written in a bathroom at the Fond du Lac STEM Academy turned out to be unfounded.  Early Monday afternoon police officers were called to the school on South Military Road after a student reported the threat to a school custodian.  The school was evacuated while a search of the school was conducted.  Two searches of the building found no suspicious circumstances.   Two K9 bomb-sniffing units from Outagamie County also responded and conducted a full school search and deemed the school safe for return.   Captain Robb Duveneck stated “We take all school threats seriously and respond accordingly, and in this case we took all necessary measures to confidently deem the school safe for students and staff to return.  If you see something, say something, we need the help of students and staff to keep Fond du Lac Schools safe which is evident in this instance.”
