10-30-24 fdl school board approves budget, tax levy

The Fond du Lac School Board has adopted a budget with an operations referendum on the table to deal with a looming $5.2 million deficit next year.   Chief of Finance and Operations Mike Gerlach says the good news is the District is receiving more money from the state.  Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fleig says the main factors behind the deficit are declining enrollment and expiration of federal COVID stimulus funds.  The tax rate is down nearly eight percent.
