The Ripon High School boys varsity basketball coach has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a minor. Mihai Schnell-Harrison was arrested Tuesday and charges are being reviewed by the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. In an email to parents, the Ripon Area School District thanked Ripon police for their “swift action over the past two days to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.” The email said “the safety of all students and staff is the district’s top priority” and encouraged students who may request social or emotional support from a school professional to reach out to their school counselor or have parents do it on their behalf. Schnell-Harrison had coached the team for one season.
