MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Nov.25, 2024) – The American Red Cross of Southeast Wisconsin is looking for local heroes to be honored at the 2025 Brave Hearts Gala on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in downtown Milwaukee. If you know of an individual or an organization who has gone above and beyond to save a life or make our community better, we encourage you to nominate them. To nominate a hero, visit our website redcross.org/wisconsin and fill out the online nomination form. All nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2024. “Southeast Wisconsin is home to many incredible individuals who are making a positive impact on our communities, and this is our opportunity to recognize them for their efforts,” said Mark Thomas, Regional Executive and CEO of the Red Cross of Wisconsin. “Your hero could be a colleague, family member, neighbor, friend or an organization that performed a selfless act of bravery or helped improve our community. If you know a local hero, we encourage you to nominate them to be recognized.” Honorees will be celebrated across eight categories: Hero of the Year, Blood Services, Community Impact, Disaster Relief, Emergency Response, Military, Red Cross Hero and Youth & Young Adult (under 24). Nominees may come from any of the Red Cross Southeast Wisconsin Chapter’s eight counties: Dodge, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha.
