The latest salmonella outbreak has been linked to cucumbers sold in Wisconsin. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 68 people in 19 states including at least three people in Wisconsin have become infected. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says the cucumbers were sold by SunFed Produce and shipped to 26 states including Wisconsin between October 12 and November 26. Mueller says check to see if you have any of the cucumbers that have been recalled, and if you are unsure contact the store where you purchased them. Mueller says children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems are at greatest risk for more serious salmonella symptoms. More information about the recall is available on the FDA website.
