Byron, WI, December 11, 2024 – Local historian Bill Behm will speak at the Byron Historical Society meeting on December 16, 2024, sharing his research on Lomira area Civil War soldiers. In addition to photographs, Behm’s program includes background on the training received by the soldiers, battles in which they participated, and Civil War monuments. A brief business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Byron Town Hall, located at N3097 Highway 175 in Byron, followed by Behm’s presentation. The event is free and open to the public. Byron Historical Society seeks to affect an understanding of the lives and times of the people of the Town of Byron so that present and future generations may understand, appreciate, and learn from these Americans.
