A man who was high on drugs when his car plowed into a Verizon phone store in Fond du Lac has been convicted. Benjamin Ayer pleaded no contest to eight counts and was convicted of multiple charges including intoxicated use of marijuana, reckless endangering safety and operating while intoxicated causing injury. He faces a maximum 27 years in prison when he is sentenced next month. Four people were injured, one critically, in the crash at the Verizon store near the Fond du Lac Target store.
