Longtime radio announcer and boyhood friend of Bob Dylan, John Bucklen, has died. He was 83. According to an obituary Bucklen died December 24 at SSM Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. Bucklen was a longtime announcer for KFIZ radio in Fond du Lac and best friend of Bob Dylan, then Bob Zimmerman, while they were growing up in Hibbing, Minnesota in the 1950s. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm January 9th at the Myrhum-Pattern Funeral Home in Lomira with funeral Services to follow.
