Fond du Lac High School is announcing Jason Schneider as the interim Fond Du Lac Baseball head coach. “Baseball has always been a passion of mine,” Schneider said. “Having the opportunity to use my knowledge and skills to help shape the culture of Fond du Lac baseball to become a success is something I have been looking forward to for years in the making.” A Fond du Lac native, Schneider brings a strong connection to the community and a wealth of experience. “I come from a hardworking family here in Fond du Lac, and we believe that if you want something, you must put in the work to get it,” he shared. “It’s incredibly special to now have the chance to run the program I once played for.” Schneider graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Physical Education and minors in Adapted Physical Education, Health Education and Coaching. Now in his first year as a health teacher at Woodworth Middle School, Schneider is inspired by the new baseball field he sees outside his classroom daily. “I am blessed enough to look out my classroom window each day and admire the brand-new baseball field. At Fondy High, we are fortunate to have top-of-the-line equipment and facilities to help us become better athletes.” Schneider’s coaching background includes three seasons as a Varsity Assistant Coach and JV Head Coach in Clintonville and two seasons leading the 17u Fond du Lac Legion baseball team. “My former coaches made a tremendous impact on my life, and I’ve always wanted to provide that same level of support and guidance for my players,” he said. “I want to be the coach they can come to for advice, help, or just to talk.” Schneider emphasized his goals for the team. “My focus is to ensure we achieve success both on and off the field, while staying true to what it means to be a student-athlete.” Please join us in welcoming Coach Schneider to the Fondy Athletics community and congratulating Coach Schneider on his role within the Cardinals Baseball program.
