On January 13, 2025, the School District of Waupun Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution to pursue an operational referendum on the April 1 ballot. This referendum will ask taxpayers to authorize the District to exceed the state-imposed revenue limit by $900,000 annually. The referendum is designed to support Waupun Area School District (WASD) students by maintaining strong educational programming, keeping class sizes low, attracting and maintaining high quality staff, and funding building maintenance.
Since November 2022, the District has been committed to utilizing approved funding efficiently to achieve its mission: working together to maximize every student’s potential. This referendum aims to sustain that progress and secure resources critical to student success.
