A 21-year-old Fond du Lac man has been arrested following a shooting incident in Fond du Lac. The man was arrested following a traffic stop. The shooting with an air-powered pellet rifle happened shortly before 7:30pm Thursday in the 400 block of W. Scott Street. One person, a 30 year old Fond du Lac man, was treated at the hospital after he was shot in the arm. Chief Aaron Goldstein stated, “While the weapon involved in this shooting was an air-powered rifle designed to shoot pellets, I want to be very clear that the seriousness of this situation cannot be understated. Any firearm, whether conventional or air-powered has the potential to cause harm. FDLPD is committed to thoroughly investigating this incident, ensuring public safety, and holding this individual accountable for his criminal actions here.” The suspect was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he faces multiple criminal charges. The victim was treated and released from the hospital. The City of Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
