Area residents are advised to take precautions when venturing outdoors as an arctic cold front blankets Wisconsin. Temperatures are expected to plummet well below zero starting Saturday night and continuing into next week with day time highs struggling to reach zero. Wind chills are forecast between -20 and -30. Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says check on elderly loved ones and neighbors to make sure they are okay. Mueller says if you are outside, dress in layers. She says next week parents should also make sure their kids are properly dressed if they are waiting for a school bus.
