A Fond du Lac man is in custody after firing a gun during a domestic incident in over the weekend. Shortly before 9pm Saturday Fond du Lac police were called to the 100 block of East 9th Street for a domestic violence report. Officers learned a man fired a handgun in the basement of the home following an argument with his wife. Nobody was injured. The 42 year old man was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. “Domestic violence remains the leading cause of violent crime in our community. FDLPD is dedicated to continuing to address this violence head-on, holding offenders accountable, and providing support for survivors,” Police Chief Aaron Goldstein said. “I urge anyone experiencing domestic violence to reach out to our Domestic Violence Intervention Police Specialist Officer Schulget who is dedicated to providing support and connecting individuals with the resources they need.”
